MacKichan Software, Inc. was founded in 1998 to acquire the assets of TCI Software Research. The principals of MacKichan Software are cofounders of Triad Computing, Inc., which later became TCI Software Research.
In 1976, mathematicians from New Mexico State University developed a technical editing system using Math software a mainframe. Their vision of an easy-to-use and inexpensive word processing system for math-based disciplines was realized in the early 1980's as personal computers became more widely available. In 1981, they formed Triad Computing, Inc.
MacKichan Software, Inc. and its predecessor companies have served the world-wide scientific and engineering communities with quality software products, beginning with the award-winning TUfology src="swptransparent.png" alt="">
Scientific Word Processing System and continuing with Scientific Word, Scientific WorkPlace, and Scientific Notebook.
