Fragments. Fragments are a macro-like feature for saving often-used math and text expressions. You can select a portion of a document and save it for later use within the same document or within other documents. You can use fragments to create a library of mathlab frequently used formulas, phrases, and plots. These fragments are actually TeX codes, which take up significantly less disk space than if you were to save, for example, a plot in bitmap format. To recall a fragment, you place the insertion point where you want to insert the fragment, then click on the fragment icon at the bottom of the screen. This displays a list of previously saved fragments from which to choose.
You can also hold down the CTRL key while typing in the fragment's name.
